Moral panic and shameful distortion

My latest column for the Publican is a return to one of my favourite themes - the wilful distortion by the British media of the facts around binge drinking. I do go on about it but that's because it's a live issue and one which every beer fan must engage with - as this piece demonstrates.

Please carry on going on about it. It's just a shame it's not getting heard more than it is.

G'Day Pete,

We seem to be suffering from the same Media Blindness as well! Your column listed several issues that have been either mirrored by events/issues in Australia or were stories that were reported by the media here! And our overall alcohol consumption is dropping too.

We all need to keep on it - it's not the final tap of the hammer that cracks the granite boulder, it's the thousands leading up to it!

Cheers
