Idiot savant make comment on 10 month old blog post

A new anonymous comment turned up this morning on the bottom of this post about my IPA trip, first posted in August 2007.

I can't work out whether its entirely random, abusive, a piss-take from a pomposity-pricking blogger, or a cry from the heart that contains a kernel of truth which all of us in the beer blogging community should take on board.

See what you think.

I wouldn't know if it contained a kernel of truth or not. What language is it in?

Excuse me, I speak jive, and it looks like you should be drinking old english 800, a particularly vile concoction in the malt liquor category usually purchased in 40 oz bottles off license only. And by take it to da head, he means drink it quickly by yourself.

I was going to say: "I'll have what he's having," but after Brendan's comment I've changed my mind ...

That post was linked to from Metafilter.com today...that's how I found out about you and apparently this guy (girl?) did too and decided to have a little fun with you. I, for one, am glad someone did post the link on that site as I know I'll become a regular reader (plus I added a link on my blog to yours as well). Cheers!

p.s. OE is crap. I only drank it when I was young, stupid and poor, and even then it was a last resort.

pete think you need to turn "backtrack" on or summat in your options as you pages stick and you can't go back to the one before it's bit rude like trapping some at party a going on about the units of bitterness in shandy bass...

bltp, how many bitterness units does Shandy Bass have? Does it even still exist?

I'm sure I've seen dusty warm batter splattered tins of the stuff lurking on the tops of chippy fryer cabinets recently!
